Red Bull Best Trick
Cash prizes: $500 best trick, $250 best male trick, $250 best female trick. Detroit and surrounding skaters — grab a festival ticket, sign up to compete. No separate competition ticket required.
Cartoons & Stereo is where music, skate culture and community collide to bring a fresh, electric energy to Detroit.
It started in spring 2025 as one independent, youth-run day on the east side — a stage, a pop-up park and a parking lot full of people who normally only see each other online. It sold out, so we're doing it bigger.
Vol. 2 puts thirteen acts on the bill, a Red Bull-backed best trick contest on a purpose-built course, a nine-foot rim dunk contest and seventeen Detroit vintage and artist vendors in one lot for nine hours. One ticket, one gate, no VIP.
Lineup subject to change — set times drop the week of the show.

A course built in the lot for the day and open between heats. Bring your own board and a helmet if you want one — we have a few loaners, not many.
The rim comes down to nine feet and the bar goes up. Open sign-ups on site until the bracket fills.
Seventeen Detroit sellers — vintage racks, print shops, jewelry, zines and one-off pieces. Most take card, some are cash only. Full list below.
A spread of Detroit trucks parked out back by the stage, with a variety of options. Open from the first set to the last. Outside food and drink stay in the car.
Once merch drops, anything you preorder here is bagged with your name on it at the merch tent. Show your order email, skip the line, done.

All ages, and kids under 12 get in free with a ticketed adult. The festival runs rain or shine — the September date moved for severe weather, which is a different situation than a wet afternoon.
Street parking runs along Wight St and the surrounding blocks on Detroit's east riverfront. Rideshare drop-off is on Wight St at the gate. Lock your board to you, not to a fence.
